To Bob—An American Icon and Hero

As a longtime teacher of at-risk students, I spent years in the classroom believing that young people are never defined by their circumstances and that real empowerment begins with personal agency. Finding Bob Woodson’s work felt like coming home. His conviction that “the door is locked from the inside” mirrored everything I strove to teach my students about their own capacity to rise.
