I became acquainted with Mr. Woodson about a couple of years ago when I joined the Woodson Center’s CAN Network. So I did not have a long history with Mr. Woodson, but I was always blessed by Mr. Woodson’s nuggets of wisdom that he would share at the beginning and/or end of our monthly CAN Call Meetings. Also, his example of longevity in starting and continuing a movement of ministering to those that society ignores and counts as the “less thans,” really inspires me and encourages me to keep going with the urban work that God has called me to do.
