“I created a program that would have served me as a child.”

Ron Anderson, a 2021 CAN mini-grant recipient, is the founder of Project Reclaim in Minden, LA. Ron’s non-profit that serves at-risk youth, was able to use the Center’s seed money to improve his organization’s capacity, which then enabled him to receive a building donated by one of our contributors. Instead of running his program out of his home, Ron is now able to better serve more youth from his 5300-square-foot building!

Through the Woodson Center’s support, Ron has demonstrated that his program is also freeing up hundreds of thousands annually that might be spent on incarceration to go to other community investments.

When you support the Woodson Center, you are investing into organizations like Ron’s, who are on the front-line doing life changing work in their communities.
