
Julia Nelson
Julia joins Woodson Center – 1776 Unites in the day-to-day support of our Scholars and Activists and Executive team. Julia Nelson is a freelance writer and project manager with over two decades of experience in intercultural communication and public policy work. Along with her husband Dean, she has worked extensively with Black American college students and churches across the country, empowering local pastors with resources to better serve their congregations and communities. She has researched, written, and edited for a variety of clients in the for-profit and non-profit worlds. Julia homeschooled her three adult children from Kindergarten through high school and is a graduate of the College of William and Mary.
